Programs Supported by Zenefit 2013

Outreach to Former Prisoners and Temple Scholarship Fund

Zenefit 2013 is pleased to support Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry (MPR), a group that helps recently released prison inmates successfully return to the community.

Jobs and stable housing are vital for these returning citizens if they are to create better lives. MPR focuses on these needs and also provides services such as relapse prevention groups, counseling and mentorship.

Since mentally challenged former inmates are especially at risk of homelessness, MPR prioritizes their concerns .

Funds raised by the Zenefit will also go into a Temple Scholarship Fund. This fund will help people of limited means to participate in Temple programs such as retreats and classes. Theses activities are open to all regardless of ability to pay, but this fund will help with costs.

The Scholarship Fund will also pay program costs for Huron Valley Women’s Prison and Jackson State Prison inmates who are formally becoming Buddhists.
